Here are two very different gardens, one very small and intimate, at the home of Eugene Delacroix, one grand and public, the Luxembourg gardens.
French landscaping is interesting....the gardens at the Tuilleries had only blue blooms, the Luxembourg had only yellow flowers.
Love the Luxembourg. It was the first sunny day in a week and Parisians were out in force to enjoy the weather. Notice that the chairs don't have straight backs, so when you sit you are instantly lounging.
Paris at its best. Sadly lost the pics of the gardens at the Place des Voges...an intimate square with grass and a fountain and surrounded on all 4 sides by the most beautiful buildings, all identical, all with lovely colonnades.
